Born at the intersection of craftsmanship, cars, and a deep appreciation for a great cigar.

Founder Dan Flory has always been hands-on by nature. When he’s not enjoying a premium cigar, you’ll likely find him in his garage modifying or maintaining his Toyota FJ Cruiser—tools out, music on, and his beloved dog, Ashton, nearby. For Dan, there’s satisfaction in working with solid materials and building things that last.

The idea for CigarBrake® emerged after a day spent working on his vehicle, followed by an evening at a cigar bar with a close friend who shared the same passions. Dan commented how the ashtray in front of them resembled the shape of a rotor. That simple comment sparked an idea that wouldn’t let go.

Authentic Engineering

Rather than designing an ashtray that simply looked the part, Dan set out to build one from an actual automotive brake rotor. Each CigarBrake® begins as a real rotor and is carefully re-engineered to serve a new purpose, delivering authentic weight, balance, and durability that elevates the cigar experience.

Made in Michigan, CigarBrake®, a product of Nice Ash, is available in both front and rear brake rotor ashtray options, designed to feel equally at home in a garage, cigar lounge, or high-end home bar.
